ENGLISH ACTIVITY: TEXT COMPREHENSION

O texto a seguir desenvolve seu vocabulário em relação ao progresso tecnológico:

I was listening sleepily to that ingenious machine, my digital clock radio, the other morning, when I heard one og those items that infects your day. It was about a new invention. A genious decided that we wait too long at supermarket check-outs, and só developed a considerate computer to let the brain take the strain. It all involves weighing, and tearing off special little tags from each item to buy, and feeding them into a machine and weighing again.

Obs.: Assim como temos o Present Continuous (is+VP com ING) também temos o Past Continuous, que possui a mesma formação do Present, só que o ver to BE está no passado (was/ were+VP com ING). Exemplo: was doing= estava fazendo. Yesterday, she was doing cake. (Ontem, ela estava fazendo bolo). Da mesma forma, nas frases no plural:Yesterday, they were playing tennis.
